I do believe that I've mentioned that I'm not terribly fond of insects.

Don't get me wrong, there are a few that I think are quite lovely (albeit at a distance), and a select few that I even like (i.e. butterflies, moths and ladybugs), but for the most part I am far happier when they're far, far away from me. Case in point: I just came back from a week's vacation in rural Quebec, and though the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful, I am riddled with bug bites from head to toe, and may have run screaming from one particular encounter with something that had more legs than I could count.

It was with some trepidation then, that I watched the piece 9.99 by Animatix 4D — I knew for a fact that it would freak me out, but the thought of giant centipedes taking over the world was just too intriguing to pass up.

The creep-out factor in this piece isn't so terrible that it'll inspire nightmares in viewers, but it's "ewww" enough to encourage folks to keep a good solid shoe and some bug spray beside the bed just in case.
